Many women in the Houston area are concerned about the possibility of experiencing pain upon receiving breast implants. However, if the implants are placed properly and there are no complications following your procedure, you should not be in any pain.

There will be some soreness, tenderness and swelling in the days and weeks after your breast augmentation. This is normal, temporary and usually fairly mild. Your body has to adjust to the implants, which can be somewhat uncomfortable.

Once the recovery process is complete, your implants will not be painful or unpleasant. Every year hundreds of thousands of women receive implants and report no pain in their day-to-day life.

There are always risks of complications with any surgical procedure, so it's important to be vigilant after undergoing an augmentation. If there is noticeable pain from your implants, this is a sign of a potential complication and you should report it to Dr. Eisemann immediately.

At The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center, we are with you throughout your recovery and healing process. Dr. Eisemann is a triple-board certified plastic surgeon with decades of experience, meaning he understands how to safely place breast implants.
