At the Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center, we are as concerned with your safety as you are. One of the questions we hear most from Houston-area women is whether silicone breast implants are actually safe.

This question often arises from the fact that silicone breast implants were taken off the market for several years as a result of safety concerns in the event of implant rupture. However, silicone breast implants have been back on the market for years, and there’s no evidence that they present unique dangers to patients.

Now, it’s important to understand that there are always risks with breast augmentation, as there are with any procedure. Breast implants are medical devices, and all medical devices can fail and rupture.

However, decades of studies have shown that silicone implants do not present added risk to patients after a rupture event.

Dr. Michael Eisemann will help you decide whether silicone implants are right for you.

If you’re a resident of the Houston, Texas area, or if you live anywhere in the country and you’re considering breast implants from a proven plastic surgeon, please contact the Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center today.
