Botox has been around for about 20 years now. Plastic surgeons and their patients are confident using Botox to treat frown lines, crow’s feet and other expression lines in the face. Botox has become so ubiquitous in our society that many medical spas or unlicensed individuals are offering various units of the product and injections to consumers, touting they can do the same thing as a physician for a better price. A savvy consumer will be very wary of such a marketing pitch. While some spas or individuals can acquire Botox through improper channels, it is important to know that Botox is not a commodity alone.
