Gynecomastia In Houston

Feminine-looking breasts on a man can be corrected. Gynecomastia in Houston affects as many as 30% of men. Enlarged breasts can be permanent, uncomfortable, and socially and psychologically devastating, but they can be permanently removed through breast reduction surgery.

In Houston, gynecomastia may be associated with obesity, hormonal metabolism imbalance, liver disease, or medicinal causes. Prior to choosing a surgical solution to gynecomastia, a period of diet and exercise is recommended to see if your condition can be resolved naturally. Should that fail, Triple board certified surgeon in Houston Dr. Michael Eisemann may recommend a surgical solution like Gynecomastia.

Your initial consultation with Dr. Eisemann will envolve a detailed and through examine. He will ask you about your expectations and will help you to understand the procedure. He will assess your existing anatomy to determine the cause of your breast enlargement. Male breasts may be formed from fatty tissue and/or glandular tissue. If Houston male breast reduction surgery is right for you, it will be performed on an outpatient basis in our state of the art in office surgical center. The procedure can last from 1 to 3 hours depending on the extent of correction.

If your gynecomastia is primarily caused by fatty tissue, your surgeon may recommend a liposuction procedure. Liposuction surgery can actually remove unwanted localized deposits of fat cells from the body. A straw-like cannula is inserted through a tiny incision to remove excess fat cells. The result is a resculpting of bulging breasts into more attractive contours.

Following your gynecomastia / breast reduction surgery, you can enjoy a more pleasing shape and enhanced self-confidence.

With over twenty years of experience, Dr. Eisemann understands the importance of spending considerable time with patients before gynecomastia surgery. He works closely with each patient to determine their aesthetic desires and to address any concerns, so that both doctor and patient are confident that the surgery is right for them. Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are set up to perform new consults and patient follow-ups via ZOOM video conferencing.

As of Monday, March 23rd, our office is open. We are open and seeing select patients. If you are currently on the schedule, please call our office if you have any concerns about your own health.

While all major hospitals have stopped elective surgery at this time, we are very selectively performing indicated operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
