Helping After Weight Loss

Losing weight with the guidance and assistance of your physician is an excellent way of increasing your health and your self-confidence. However, triple-board certified Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Eisemann understands that significant weight loss can also be the cause of some unsightly cosmetic problems.

The body often struggles to adjust to a lighter weight, which means you don’t always get the full aesthetic benefit of your weight loss. Fortunately, there are cosmetic surgery procedures that can help.

These cosmetic complaints are particularly prevalent with women who have recently given birth and worked off the baby weight. However, these concerns can arise with anyone who has lost a great deal of weight, particularly if they did so in a relatively compressed timeframe.

These procedures include:

  • Liposuction, to remove fat deposits that stubbornly persist after weight loss
  • A tummy tuck, which can tighten previously loose abdominal muscles and remove stretch marks from the lower abdomen
  • Breast lift, which can lift and tighten sagging breasts

Our plastic surgeon will help you decide if plastic surgery is right for your needs and goals. Your safety and health is your priority, and we believe you should be able to enjoy the fruits of all the hard work you put in to lose weight.

If you’re a Houston, Texas resident in need of an experienced plastic surgeon, please contact The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center today. We also help patients from out of town and across the country.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are set up to perform new consults and patient follow-ups via ZOOM video conferencing.

As of Monday, March 23rd, our office is open. We are open and seeing select patients. If you are currently on the schedule, please call our office if you have any concerns about your own health.

While all major hospitals have stopped elective surgery at this time, we are very selectively performing indicated operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
