How Long is Recovery From Breast Enlargement?

At The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center, we always urge our Houston-area patients to take their time when recovering from breast enlargement. The procedure, while quite safe, is still major surgery, and it places a significant strain on your body. If you follow Dr. Eisemann’s guidelines and recovery timeline, you’ll be able to recover safely and securely.

Breast enlargement recovery is unique for every woman. Everyone’s body is different and heals at different speeds. That said, most of our patients are able to return to work about a week after their procedure.

This follows a day or two of rest, which you should take seriously. Be sure you make arrangements to have household errands taken care of while you recover.

There will be some swelling and discomfort for several weeks following your breast enlargement, and it’s best to hold off on intense workouts (especially those that place a great strain on your chest) for a while.

Dr. Eisemann will provide you with a more detailed timeline and answer all of your questions before you undergo your procedure.

If you’re a Houston, Texas woman considering a breast enlargement, or if you’re an out-of-town patient looking for top-notch plastic surgery, please call The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center at 713-766-0071 or contact us online today.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are fully open seeing new and existing patients, and we continue to offer consults and patient follow-ups utilizing ZOOM video conferencing.

All major hospitals in the Houston area allowing scheduling of elective surgeries and we are performing operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

We have added new policies regarding the number of patients in the office, and all staff and patients must wear facemasks. We continue to maintain vigilance for hygiene and plan to maintain these policies for some time.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
