Intense Pulsed Light therapy (IPL) is a safe and effective way to visibly improve the appearance of your skin. Houston plastic surgeon Dr. Michael Eisemann is pleased to offer our patients the option of IPL as a standalone treatment or in combination with other skin care options. What is best for you will be determined during your initial consultation at our comfortable Houston office.
If you would like to learn more about IPL and other nonsurgical skin care treatments in the Houston, Texas area, please contact the Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center or call (713) 790-1771 today to schedule a consultation with Dr. Eisemann.
IPL, also known as a photo facial, uses short blasts of concentrated light energy to penetrate just below the skin’s surface and correct issues such as:
Sun spots and freckles
Visible veins and capillaries
While “short blasts of concentrated light energy” may sound painful, IPL is a noninvasive procedure that requires no down time. A single photo facial takes approximately 20 minutes and work and normal activities can easily be resumed following your treatment session.
However, due to the minimally invasive nature of this treatment, multiple sessions may be required for optimal results. How many treatments you need will be dependent on the issues being addressed and your ultimate aesthetic desires.
