Plastic Surgery is For Manly Men

Whether men are answering the call of vanity or seeing plastic surgery as an investment in their health and wellbeing is unknown.  What is known is that plastic surgery for men is on the rise.  It’s nothing new for men to feel insecure by more youthful counterparts entering their work environment.  Men from our father’s generation handled the threat (whether perceived or real) by mentoring the young buck or teaching him his place.  These days it is acceptable for men to maintain their edge by having a neck lift, getting a brow lift or even a facelift.  The shift in perception may be due to men seeing plastic surgery as equivalent to taking care of oneself by exercising, eating a balanced diet and not smoking.  The American Association of Plastic Surgeons reported that male procedures increased about 2% in 2010.  Among male patients, facelifts increased by 14%, liposuction to remove unwanted fat increased by 7%, and eyelid surgeries increased by 15%.  Houston renowned plastic surgeon, Dr. Michael Eisemann, has treated numerous male patients over his 30+ year career.  The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center provides male patients with options to enhance their appearance through brow lifts, eyelid lifts, rhinoplasty (nose job), facelifts, liposuction, pectoral implants, calf implants and more.  To learn more about options for men’s plastic surgery procedures, contact the professional staff at the Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are set up to perform new consults and patient follow-ups via ZOOM video conferencing.

As of Monday, March 23rd, our office is open. We are open and seeing select patients. If you are currently on the schedule, please call our office if you have any concerns about your own health.

While all major hospitals have stopped elective surgery at this time, we are very selectively performing indicated operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
