Plastic Surgery For Mother’s Day?

With a little less than one month away until Mother’s Day 2012, family members are beginning to ponder what they can do to show Mom she’s loved and appreciated. There are the old stand by’s such as a corsage, Sunday brunch, flowers or a spa day, but all of those gifts quickly fade away.   For goodness sake, don’t be the person at the pharmacy the night before looking for a card and plant! Besides diamonds, there are gifts that can last a lifetime and make Mom look and feel great. Plastic Surgery packages known as the “Mommy Makeover” have been in high demand among women who’ve given birth to their children and want to go back to how their body looked before motherhood. A Mommy Makeover sometimes includes a tummy tuck, liposuction, breast augmentation and/or a breast lift. Before deciding to surprise Mom with this gift, it’s advisable to put a little thought into it. First, if Mom is happy with her body or if she plans on having more children, then this is not the ideal gift. Next, the gift giver should know first hand whether this is something Mom wants at all. If so, think about what seems to concern her most. If it’s just breasts that are not as full and high as before, then a breast lift and/or breast augmentation may be sufficient. Alternatively, if the belly is the area of primary discontent then liposuction and/or a tummy tuck might be just what Mom is looking for. Plastic surgery is a very personal decision, so make sure that Mom has expressed a serious interest in plastic or aesthetic surgery before giving her this gift; otherwise, it may not be taken in the vein in which it was intended. The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center has a long history of working with Houston area Moms who want to refresh their post-baby bodies. Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are set up to perform new consults and patient follow-ups via ZOOM video conferencing.

As of Monday, March 23rd, our office is open. We are open and seeing select patients. If you are currently on the schedule, please call our office if you have any concerns about your own health.

While all major hospitals have stopped elective surgery at this time, we are very selectively performing indicated operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
