One of the most common procedures performed at Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center in Houston is a breast augmentation – also known as augmentation mammoplasty, or breast enlargement with breast implants. Some women feel that their breasts are too small for their bodies. Others want to restore breast volume that has been lost due to aging, weight loss or pregnancy. Breast augmentation may also be used to correct breast asymmetry, improve breast sagging or reconstruct a breast following surgery for breast cancer. Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann may also recommend a breast lift (mastopexy) at the same time as the breast augmentation surgery if your breasts have lost perkiness along with volume. This recommendation will be based on your specific goals and anatomical features. If you desire breast augmentation in Houston, schedule a consultation with Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann to find out if you’re a candidate for the procedure.

  • IMPLANT OPTIONS – A few implant options for a breast augmentation procedure include silicone, saline, and gummy bear implants.
  • IMPLANT REVISION – Implant revision surgery can replace aging implants or fix imperfections from a previous augmentation procedure.

  • Breast implant placement

Your breast implant size will be based on the dimensions of your chest, how much natural breast tissue is present, and your breast size in relation to your other features. It is important to remember that the size of your implants can impact other procedural options such as type of implant and implant placement.

  • Anatomic Implants (Gummy Bear Implants)

Additionally, the shape and texture requirements vary depending on the implant you and Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann select. Breast implants can be either round or teardrop shaped. Some implants require texturing to ensure they remain in place after they’re inserted.

The breast augmentation procedure is outpatient and performed with general anesthesia or under local anesthesia with IV sedation in our nationally accredited Houston OR facility. Our surgical facility is accredited by the AAAASF, American Association for Accreditation of Ambulatory Surgery Facilities, Inc. Depending on the type of implants you select during your consultation with Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann, the surgical procedure will vary.

Common incision placements include: under the breasts, around the areola, in the armpit, or through the belly button. The implants are placed either above or below the muscles in your chest.

Oftentimes, many patients choose to combine the breast augmentation with a breast lift to achieve their desired look. These procedures can be performed in conjunction to increase both the volume and perkiness of your breasts.
