What is ear surgery like?
While every ear surgery is tailored to meet the specific needs of the patient, the general principles are the same. Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann utilize small incisions in the natural folds on the back side of the ear to manipulate the cartilage framework of the ear. Internal sutures are placed to help change the shape of the cartilage, and sometimes cartilage is actually removed. A fine balance of manipulation of the underlying cartilage and re-draping the overlying skin must be completed.
