When is a Tummy Tuck Appropriate?

At The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center, we are committed to ensuring that you only undergo the procedures that are right for you. A tummy tuck is no exception- it’s serious, extensive surgery that you should only undergo if you are a sound candidate.

Still, it’s also an excellent way of achieving a dramatic change in the appearance of your mid-section. So the appeal of the tummy tuck is obvious, especially when it’s performed by our triple board-certified plastic surgeon.

A tummy tuck can achieve quite a bit, but it’s main purpose is to strengthen loose abdominal muscles. Muscles are often loosened as a result of some significant trauma or dramatic change- pregnancy, for example, or significant weight loss.

You should only undergo a tummy tuck if you’re in sound overall health and suffer from no active infections. You should be prepared for a fairly extensive recovery process and come into the procedure with reasonable expectations.

If you live in the Houston, Texas area and you want to learn more about the tummy tuck procedure, please call The Eisemann Plastic Surgery Center at 713-766-0071 or contact us online for a consultation.

Practice Policy Update Regarding COVID-19

Dr. Michael Eisemann, Dr. Bradley Eisemann, and the entire staff at Eisemann Plastic Surgery are committed to the health and safety of all of our patients and ourselves.

We are thankful to be connected to Houston Methodist Hospital, one of the most respected hospitals in the country. Because of this, our screening policy is aided by the hospital's official policies and checkpoint screening measures completed prior to entering our building. These measures allow us to do everything we can, at this point in time, to minimize the chance that we expose ourselves or our patients to someone who has been sick or contagious with the virus.

We are fully open seeing new and existing patients, and we continue to offer consults and patient follow-ups utilizing ZOOM video conferencing.

All major hospitals in the Houston area allowing scheduling of elective surgeries and we are performing operative procedures in our procedure room and in our AAAASF certified operating room under local and IV sedation.

We have added new policies regarding the number of patients in the office, and all staff and patients must wear facemasks. We continue to maintain vigilance for hygiene and plan to maintain these policies for some time.

As always, both Dr. Michael Eisemann and Dr. Bradley Eisemann are available by phone and email to answer any questions you may have.
